1996 Jeep Cherokee door handle (rear)1996Chreokee 01-05-2007, 08:31 PM I have a 1996 Cherokee sport 4 door. No Power locks and no power windows The other day I went to open the rear door from the outside of the vehicle and the button pushed in through the handle and into the door. So now I can't open that door from the outside, it still works from the inside. My question is can that handle be fixed? or do you just replace them when that happens? A new handle is 40-45 bucks at the dealer and an after market is like 20 on ebay. If the orginal can be repaired or rebuilt I would rather save the money. The vehicle is in good shape and the door is not rusted. Thank you for any help:popcorn: AlohaBra 01-06-2007, 01:42 AM It would be simpler to replace it, but if you took it out and inspected it and still have all the pieces, then maybe you can fix it. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
