Clutch / Trasmission problems rboit 01-05-2007, 05:19 PM
I've got a 2000 chevy single cab, manual 5 speed. A couple of weeks ago it became very difficult to get in and out of gear and the clutch pedal has lost alot of it's resistance. There are no leaks that I can find. To my knowledge the clutch doesnt seem to be going out because when i do get the thing in gear the clutch engages as soon as i lift the pedal off the floor. It seems to me like it's a fluid problem but that might just be wishful thinking. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Check the clutch master cylinder for proper operation. Usually the slave cylinder is the culprit Scrapper 01-06-2007, 07:49 AM yes leaking slave if clutch master cylender low.. good luck...
