Question about driving without front diffaero_steve 09-23-2002, 12:25 PM I've ordered Calmini's front LSD and am planning to pull the front diff to drop off somewhere to have the LSD installed. My question is, what can I fuck up by driving aroung a day or two without the front diff installed? I am planning to yank the half axles and front propeller shaft. OffroadX 09-23-2002, 01:09 PM I don't see any concern other than the front wheel bearings being exposed. Brent OffroadX 01-17-2005, 09:14 AM Ancient thread revival, but since I came across this searching for something else... Anyone else considering this, leave the CV/halfshafts in place, just let the inner ends rest on whatever's below them. As long as your hubs are unlocked, they'll be fine. A friend of mine did this for a couple of weeks, and I went without my front diff for a couple of months, no problem. We both have manual hubs, but there's no reason you coudn't do it with auto hubs too.
