Hello,

I have a strange problem, when I shut the ignition off the heater controls will not turn off. You can still control the fan and temp etc. I notice if I play with the ignition turning it on and off a couple times it will finally turn off.

This just started happening, anyone have any ideas, maybe a short??

I just started to have the same problem. I had just had my battery replaced and this problem started. I think it is a short from when the battery was installed but hard to prove.

GMC wants to take apart the control head to look at. 125.00 just for a diagnoses.

Sounds like the ignition switch is not turning power off all the way.
