I went to part store to buy fuel pump for my 2000 4wd 5.3 1500. Live in kansas and it was made in Missouri. It has the egr valve. They had like 3 different versions. :uhoh:

MU1089 MODULE KIT,F/TNK F/PMP
With RPO EVAP EMISSIONS REQUIRED(EVA) CODE TCF Without RPO SENDER,ROBUST FUEL SYS (K53)

01 MU1005 MODULE,F/TNK F/PMP(SENDER & PUMP)
With RPO SENDER,ROBUST FUEL SYS (K53)

01 MU1333 MODULE,F/TNK F/PMP(SENDER & PUMP)
CODE TCU Without RPO EVAP EMISSIONS REQUIRED(EVA) ^ SENDER,ROBUST FUEL SYS (K53)

Can anyone help me out to figure out which one I have?? I know I have the T in my vin # but still confused about the robust fuel system and the evap emissions parts. What do I need to look for? Please let me know if you could help. I'll be sitting here kicking the tires untill then. Thanks

Look under your truck. If there is a small black box in front of your gas tank (about the width of the gas tank, about 6 in long), you need the EVAP compatable pump. I just replace the fuel pump on my 02 and was only given 2 choices: with or without EVAP.

Cool now I know what one to get! Thanks! But another question comes to mind now. What is the evap system and how does it affect the truck??

The purpose of the evap system is explained in the Hyanes manual. From what I can remember it condenses the vapor in the fuel tank into liquid which can be pumped to the engine.
