Drive by shooting

I have a friend who drives this beat up old town car.
For the most part I fear for my life someone is shooting me when this machine is in operation. Is there any way I can subtly get him convinced that the car needs repair/replacement?
I know its a little off subject but seriously, man, I think I should get him a scooter:)
