i had problems with fuel cut in my car a 92 skylark. found out it was the wiring harness for the injectors. fixed that then the starter went. i went to replace the starter, forgot to disconnect the positive turminol and hit metal and sparked. then got the new starter in and went to turn it over and it got no spark to my coil package. any ideas of what it could be, or if there is a coil package relay or another coil that recieves power before the coil package does?

I would check the fuseable links which should be near the starter and then check for and blown fuses. What size engine do you have?

I'm not up completely on bodies. N body Vin N has a ECM fuseable link between the battery and strut tower. A body vin N has a fuse block inside firewall pass side of the adl connector. Look for a pink black wire close to ecm.
Normally they have a ecm relay but I couldn't locate it. Look around the ecm if you find one feel for it to click when trying to start.
