I am trying to help out a friend who has a 92 E350 that eats blowers for dinner. We are currently replacing the 5th bad blower. Granted the van is 14 years old but I have never replaced a blower twice in a vehicle let alone replace 5 of them.:screwy: Would it be worth bypassing the electrical system and wiring a new switch to the blower??:evillol:

What fails on the blower? Is it electrical,or mechanical?

Electrical failure, the motor burns out.

I would start by monitoring the voltage, resistance in the line will drop voltage. This will cause the motor to overheat.

I believe these motors are powered through a diode/resister switch that allows them to run on lower voltage (blower speed). You might have a poor/intermittent ground,or a mechanical (obstruction/drag) problem.
