30" of snow today at my place - should

I see what a 4x2 Rodeo is really made of??:p

The whole town is shut down, everyone's closed due to the Blizzard that hit yesterday/today - even the airport has cancellations out the wall-zoo.

Can't get my lawntractor/snowplow out of the garage either.

My 4x4 Toyota won't even budge at this point.

Oh what joys of digging out by hand :banghead:

Pictures?

50 degrees in VT today with no sign of snow for the season. I guess this snow enthusiast will have to settle for pictures of the white stuf... and have Mt. Washington to look forward to in the spring...

Ay yi yi...

I havent had much trouble at all in my rodeo. Even drove out of where I was parked with snow above the hood. The rodeo and Dayton tires have impressed me, I havent even put the chains on yet. The only time I've had to use 4wd is some street crossings where the plows kinda piled it up and on residential streets. Otherwise I've been in 2wd.

Here is a post on the planet with some pics.

PS. Some of us had to work today too!

My sister lives in Aurora; she said it isn't too bad over there. They're not even bothering to shovel out at all, she did get stuck in her minivan twice yesterday. But actually drove it to the store this morning without issue.

I live on the backside of Elizabeth - have only seen 1 truck moving around; 3/4 Chevy with a 6" lift and he had chains on. I think he was just out playing around personally; we've had our fun in doing that over the years and don't ge me wrong, we still have our adventures from time to time; but overall, we're just not into taking our vehicles out for no real reason just to see how far we can go.

I've never owned a set of chains, never really needed them I guess. I do have a small set on my lawntractor, but that's about it.

We could get out if we desperately needed to - but our companies are closed; midgets are out of school cause the schools are closed, and we have all the food and presents for X-mas, so I see no point in being out driving around.

We are shoveling the driveway though, little by little. Still snowing out here, we have right at 39" now.

Send some to the right coast. We have brown yards, mud and 45 degrees here. Am usually ice fishing by this time of year. No snow or ice yet.
Hang in there, sounds like you have the proper attitude. Merry Christmas from Maine. Tom

It's been weird weather from coast to coast the past few months.:uhoh: We had a devastating ice/snow storm in mid October and it's been ~50deg ever since! I dont mind the 2-3 footers. More than that gets pretty harry. I'll never forget the ~5ft of snow we got in Dec 2001. My wife was over 8mo pregnant and we couldn't get beyond the driveway for 3 days. It was the first time this carrer Buffalonian had to shovel off the roof to his (and some neighbors) houses because of the weight!

That snow storm was awesome, my roomates at the time and I had a blast. Jumping off the roof into the snow on the ground. I had a 99 eclipse at the time, it went nowhere.

Here in the Baltimore area now, there hasn't even been a chance of snow yet. It was near 70º here a few days ago, heck, it's still over 50º now at midnight. I haven't even turned my heat on yet, as a lifelong Buffalonian, that is weird. I am hoping for some snow though.

I know all that snow you guys got can be dangerous and causes problems, but I'm a bit jealous.
