Bleeding Brakes & other Problems

I have an '86 Delta '88, the smaller version.

1. I had to replace a portion of the brake lines. The front brakes and lines are fine. So are the back. There are no leaks. I loosened the passenger rear bleeder and bled that line. I tried loosening the driver's side and the bleeder broke on me. Is there another way to bleed that brake line without having to replace it?

2. The other day I used my emergency brake and I heard a noise. The pedal will not retract when the release is pulled. I have to pull the release and manually pull the pedal back up. I looked at the cable under the car and it's loose. Is the cable broken? If so, how can I replace that?

3. My wiper motor works fine but the window washer pump is bad. I noticed that they're connected together. I tried to take it off so as to work on it but I realized how it is attached to the firewall; by some wierd rubber grommets. How do I take that off?

I usually buy a teardown manual with every vehicle I purchase but every auto parts store in my area doesn't carry it.

Thanks for your help.

I had an 86 88 for a while. But what do you mean by "smaller version"? To my knowledge, there was just the good old 4 door and 2 door (maybe that was 87...). I had the 4 door.....

2: Yes, you probably have a broken line. Your best bet would be to get a new section from a junkyard. I believe the lines come in sections so you can unscrew just the portion you need.

3: The window washer pump ought to be attached to the side of the washer fluid resevour. These die or get clogged fairly easily. These can be found on just about any GM car in a junkyard.
