One of those "new x owner" postsHarbones 09-01-2001, 03:38 AM Hey all I have been pouring over every message on this board for the last couple of weeks (some before I got my X, much more after) so I thought I would introduce myself. I got a 2001 Silver Ice Xterra XE V6 exactly one week ago :D. DAMN I LOVE THIS THING. It reminds me of my old Bronco II (god rest its soul). I wasn't planning on actually buying it when I went looking but after the test drive I had to have it (plus I got a good deal as they are clearing the 2001s out for the 2002s - it seems like they are not nearly as popular here in the midwest as they were in the northwest). Also, one of the main reasons I got an Xterra over the others I was looking at (4Runner, Pathfinder, etc) was because of sites like this. I was amazed at the number of people who love, evangalize, and actually *use* thier X's. It's good ammo for convincing people that this isn't your soccer mom's SUV. I currently don't have the money to do anything to my X (nor do I have the time to do anything but commute with it). I am but a poor college student living in St. Louis :(. However, I will probably be taking a job in Seattle after XMas, so I hope to hook up with the pwnx peeps to see what the northwest has to offer (i'm sure it's got to be good). I know nothing automotive, so I doubt i'll have any constructive input (unless you guys have any questions about stereos :smoka: ). However, I can't wait to learn, and if you don't mind hopefully i can lurk around and ask total newbie questions. Anyway, thanks for all the info you guys provide on these boards and keep up the good work. I went "looking," and came home with an Xterra. Welcome to the board. You may not get many responses here for about a week, as alot of the regulars went to Gathering Of Xterrras (GOX) in Colorado. :) ChuckH 09-01-2001, 05:06 PM Scott, You didn't get to go either!!! :( Man this board is quiet now that everyone left. Congrats Harbones on your new X! I'm a PNWX member so we'll look forward to you coming to Seattle. You will quickly learn the mods process. Like you my specialty was stereo stuff, but now I've kind of gotten into the exterior upgrades and such and it's a lot of fun. I'm out of money now though, so I had to put the rest of my mods on hold. Hope everyone has a good 3 day weekend! It's raining here now so getting my bumper done before Tuesday is looking less and less likely! We've only had a few days of rain all summer and wouldn't you know Labor day weekend would be one of the rainy ones! Pine Stripes and Rock Rashes beat Acme Blemishes every time in my book. :D vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
