I was driving my 97 camry and it just died. No problems until that point. I now have spark at the plugs and I have fuel at the fuel filter but it acts like no fuel to engine. I do not believe the fuel solenoid is getting energized. This is a 4 cylinder fuel injected model, any ideas?

How old is the timing belt? It may have broken.

It is the original, about 100k on it. Would I still be getting spark? And if so, how bad have I messed the engine up if it is the timing belt?

Yes you still get spark and the engine should be okay because it's a non-interference design.

Is there any way to tell if the belt is broken without taking it apart?

You'll have to take the upper timing belt cover off to inspect the belt. You can turn the crank to see if the camshaft pulley turns. It's the big one in the upper left of this picture. It's operated by the timing belt.
