Knock Sensor !?!

Is there any time the pcm disregards the knock sensor on a 2002 Chrysler 300M. Such as idle, heavy decel anythin like that. Or does it always read it?

I believe it is always on.

The PCM ignores the knock sensor at both Idle and WOT.
