No bass in new after market stereoandersonmafia1 12-10-2006, 11:45 PM i have a question for anyone who can help me! My friend has a 98 neon. I installed a new stereo I bought from best buy. It is a DUAL CD PLAYER. I installed in and after it was done i turned the car on to listen and i turned the bass up to a reasonable rate and im trying to hear the bass. There is some no doubt, but it sounds like it's Vibrating. I have the same system in my car and it sounds great but in the Neon it sounds like there is no bass but a little bit with a vibrating noise. Is it maybe because im my car i have four speakers and in the neon there are 6 speakers and it's not able to equal the sound out (OR) is it maybe because I have it wired wrong. Can someone please help me. Thanks guys. :uhoh: alphalanos 12-10-2006, 11:50 PM Dont take this personally, but Dual is probably one of the worst head units you can have. Are the speakers in the car stock? That would be my first guess. Im assuming the system with the old head unit had bass? I guess its possible you could have wired the speakers with incorrect polarity. Upgrade to bigger speakers, or better, get a subwoofer. andersonmafia1 12-13-2006, 02:52 PM Thanks for the reply man. the polarity was all wrong. Actually it was right but the waires are backwards. HAHA... who waould have thought. The system sounds great now thanks for the help... now there is bass like there is no tomorrow. :grinyes: d1ck 12-24-2006, 09:13 PM If you think that Dual piece of shit sounds good, you should actually hear a good cd player. alphalanos 12-25-2006, 12:14 AM OK, this is a help forum. Not 'lets make fun of other peoples equipment' keep the negativity to yourself if you dont have anything useful to contribute to the thread. d1ck 12-25-2006, 05:59 PM You're right, I probably shouldn't have been such an asshole about it. I apologize. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
