Is the transmission on a 4.7 liter 05 4 Runner a sealed unit? I cannot find an area to check the fluid or add fluid.

Well after some searching on the internet and a call to my Toyota service center, I have concluded that it is not something I can do. There is no dipstick to check the fluid level, it is a sealed system. Adding fluid is a difficult process at best according to the service tech. Thus I had my 4 runner flatbedded 30 miles to the dealership for service. Moral of the story, be sure which drain plug you are loosening before you drop the transmission fluid when you are trying to change your own oil for the first time.

Someone will appreciate the advance warning.
