Hi, today I went to look at a 1997 Caddilac Deville. Its not in bad shape, but not in great shape either. Its got one decent dent, a and a few black scuffs. The interior is in nice shape, with a few flaw (One rip in leather, a few minor scratches)

The motor has 243xxx km (about 150xxx miles), which is qutie a bit I know.
It has new front tires, new windsheild, and a recent tuneup. It runs nicely, and quitetly.

Anouther thing I should mention, is that I thought the northstars had brisk acceleration, but when I put the pedal to the metal, i didnt feel much of anything. I used to drive a 1993 lesabre, with the 3.8, and itfelt like it had more power then the caddy. (3.8s have 170 hp 225 ft lb torque, while the northstar has 275 hp). Is it just because I dont notice the torque as much cause its such a heavy car, or is there something wrong with it?

hes asking 3500 CDN (about 3200 US)

Is this a good deal?
Do you tihnk I will be needing to put alot of work into it?
There is no rust either.

Thx alot

Over the years I have observed that very often vehicles that have had the cosmetics neglected have had maintenence neglected also.

Yeah, that sounds like it's a beat up, abused car. My '94 Deville is in MUCH better shape than that one.
And if that Northstar was performing like it should, you'd have a big grin on your face from the accleration!
I'd pass on that car, and find one that was well cared for. You don't want to aquire someone elses problem car.
