This van has 107,000 miles- It was a lease vehicle. IF it has the gaskets replaced ? Any way the temp gauge dropped all the way to the bottom, NO Service engine light came on, Still blowing good heat, Engine running fine, I replaced the coolant sensor Then the Service engine light came on, My son is in auto mech tech school, He brought home a Reader that plugs in to the computer port, He read high voltage to the sensor, The sensor is not easy to get to nor is anything on these vans, He cleared the code still the temp gauge did not move but just a tad, So I unpluged the collant sensor and the prongs had been bent over so it would not make contact, By the way the sensor did not check open (the one I took out) The new one checked the same ? , So we straightened the prongs plugged it back in cleared the code again, And all is ok, ( FOR NOW )
Some condensation will come up in the oil fill cap, So don't get worried about gaskets being blown, We have had 70 degree temps then 2 days later in the Teens ,,,,, Oh I all so unhooked the Batt to get Service Engine light to go off, BUT if there is a code it will have to be cleared !!!!!-Could not see very good to plug the sensor in I had to force it thats how they got bent, Dahhhh Me LOL-:-)
