wonderbra?smithd4200 09-18-2002, 09:07 AM In the most recent Import Tuner mag (i believe it had a blue nissan on the cover) they had an article about a 'wonderbra' that was basically invisible once you got it on the car...i left my magazine out of state last week and i really wanted to find the companys website that makes them, but i dont remember the company..if anyone has any info let me know thanks j.fuggi 09-18-2002, 09:33 AM if i remember correctly, i tried to visit the site but it didn't work. i might be wrong but i think it was the same site. CXHatchback 09-18-2002, 11:18 AM 3M makes it. smithd4200 09-18-2002, 12:02 PM 3m...thanks man...now i am reading you should definately have it professionally installed but the nearest place i can find that does it is about 80 miles.....are there any other effective ways to prevent rock chipson an aftermarket bumper? Cancivicd16 09-18-2002, 07:14 PM My mom recently bought a new Jetta and it came stock with the 3M protective "wonder bra" on the hood, fenders, lights, and bumper. It seems to be working great. I went to my local tint shop and asked them how much it would be for them to cover my headlights. They said about $60 (CAN) - just for the headlights! CXHatchback 09-18-2002, 08:15 PM A guy I know got Rhino stuff sprayed on his Jetta. It's like bedliner material but it's sprayed right on the front end of his car in the shape of where the bra would be. Looks pretty nice since his car is black and it doesn't chip/fade/trap water underneath since it's sprayed on. Might wanna look into that. Cancivicd16 09-19-2002, 11:47 AM Is that like the squishy stuff that's sprayed all over the bottom of my civic? sagedismal 09-19-2002, 01:31 PM what is the website for this "wonder bra" stuff. i'd like to learn more about it. CXHatchback 09-23-2002, 02:45 PM Originally posted by Cancivicd16 Is that like the squishy stuff that's sprayed all over the bottom of my civic? Nope, that's completely different. This is bedliner material. It's a little bit smoother than sandpaper. Bryan8412 09-23-2002, 03:58 PM wow. is it in the future to spray the entire car? thus eliminating weather as a factor and preserving ultimatley the entire paint job barring collisions? EDIT: link- http://www.3m.com/us/auto_marine_aero/auto_pro_markets/ppf/ im checking it out now... BlueSunset 09-26-2002, 03:19 PM Try these guys: http://www.stongard.com/ I have it installed on my 2001 Acura CL and love it. It's expensive but won't scratch the patch when it gets dirty like a regular bra. Plus you can always peel it off and start again if it gets too worn.
