How about appreciating the car for all it is, and then making an educated observation, rather than just saying "That's ugly". He was the Managing Director {CEO} at Pininfarina, who always have {and still do} design for Ferrari, until 1988. He then left them and took a job working at Ferrari themselves, in an engineering position {he is a brilliant engineer too}, and in the late 1990s formed his own design studio: Fioravanti Design, which exists to this day. By sheer coincidence, every Ferrari released after he left Pininfarina is a derivative piece of crap from the Testarossa-ripoff 512TR right through to the crapmobile McLaren F1 wanna-be Enzo.
