Help!poormillionaire2 12-02-2006, 03:31 PM So, I'm changing the starter on my truck that died a few days ago. And I happened to snap the head off one of the connection bolts. And it now sits flush with the tab. I'm frusterated and not thinking clearly. Its the last bolt to go and its holding up progress. The tail end of it is conical and comes to a point, plus its a small bolt. So, I can't grab that end to try and twist it out. Any suggestions on getting it out so I can get the connection wire out? I'm out of ideas...and its cold and all the snow and ice is melting on me as I work. blindeyed 12-02-2006, 09:59 PM Are you talking abut the positive terminal on the solenoid of the starter? poormillionaire2 12-02-2006, 10:39 PM Yeah, but I got everything sorted out. Starter is changed and everything is good. Finally! In the wet and cold. blindeyed 12-02-2006, 11:02 PM Yeah, I was gonna say that the same thing happened to me. Sucker was turning like butter and all of a sudden the whole screw just broke off. Last time I ever bought the remanufactured parts by Palladium from Advance Auto. SLPbirdy00 12-02-2006, 11:04 PM Yeah, but I got everything sorted out. Starter is changed and everything is good. Finally! In the wet and cold. Tell me about that cold and snowy weather... I just got hit by that Blizzard of a storm here in oklahoma...never expected it this year, seeing as that last year almost nothing happened. <--Absolutly Random. poormillionaire2 12-02-2006, 11:07 PM Yeah, I think we got hit by the same storm up here. Through the course of one night and one day, I got sleeted on, then snow on top of that. I shoveled my driveway, and it had 3 inches of snow on top of 2 inches of solid ice from the sleet. That was the night after the stater died on my truck. It sucked balls. Everything froze and people suck at driving. But, after getting rides for a few days, I finally got that damn starter changed. Now I have a vehicle. 666_speed 12-03-2006, 12:01 AM Hey Poor, remember the sub-forums? SLPbirdy00 12-03-2006, 12:05 AM Yea, I happily recieved about 7-10" of that nice white stuff (snow).:banghead: hotrod_chevyz 12-03-2006, 12:45 AM We got the same snow here in OKC. You can always tell when the road is slick, cause every fifth car you pass has fresh damage. People here do either 15mph, or 45mph in the snow (40mph limit). The 45mph'ers have the front end damage, the 15mph'ers have the rear end damage. I have to say a 97 crown victoria does suprisingly good in the ice, and they can be fun too if you cut the wheel and hit the skinny pedal in a empty parking lot. The CV has been nothing but fun ever since the ABS/TCS went goofy. SLPbirdy00 12-03-2006, 12:50 AM We got the same snow here in OKC. Brandon F. hotrod_chevyz 12-03-2006, 12:59 AM The only reason i expected it, was because i saw the weather the day before it hit. I love the snow as long as i dont have to change a starter in it. or a tire. Or do any kind of work at all.. Ive been drunk ever since the first snow flake fell. philly rs 12-03-2006, 10:45 AM another post highjacked...smh :icon16: :icon16: poormillionaire2 12-03-2006, 09:23 PM Hey Poor, remember the sub-forums?
