Finished Photo's Of Tommy Kaira Subaruprimera man 09-16-2002, 07:47 PM Well its finished at last. Kit was sprayed in Tamiya Pure White and the rims with Tamiya Gold. Kit is build straight from the box, the only extras being the rear bumper quarters and a bigger exhaust. Lights and intercooler are all Bare Metal Foiled and mesh added to bumper. Number plate mount removed from front to open the intake up Kit was pretty straight forward to built...the only part that didn't fit to well was the front bumper which had to be sanded in places to fit correctly. Enjoy. Now I gotta finish mine!:) Jay! 09-16-2002, 08:35 PM Very fine, as usual... :D I vote that you go back to taking pics on your concrete steps. Those looked best, IMO. ;) flyonthewall 09-16-2002, 08:35 PM Personally i'm not a fan of the kit but cant fault your work. Dont like the wing on it very much. Looks like the glass doesnt fit properly with that kit? So are the bumper quarters from another kit? daggerlee 09-16-2002, 08:36 PM Wow, excellent work, as usual :) Veyron 09-16-2002, 08:38 PM Very sharp and clean build!:flash: GTI1800 09-16-2002, 08:42 PM :o :o :o Hi, always a nice car..... looks really nice except the wheels for me... Daryl 09-17-2002, 01:41 AM I think the headlights need a black surround. And about those panel lines... :bloated: Just my humble two cents worth, but that's really nit-picking. That's one fantastic looking model. BBCivic 09-17-2002, 05:34 AM Originally posted by GTI1800 :o :o :o Hi, always a nice car..... looks really nice except the wheels for me... It's just not right. but yet again Pmans work is top notch ZoomZoomMX-5 09-17-2002, 09:13 AM We need to have a contest sometime where we start building the same kit on X day and see who's gets the most done in the least amount of time!! Nice work there, especially considering the kit's "Fujiminess". The glass fit and that rear "bookshelf" spoiler...in the two-car picture the blue STi looks like a real car, the T/K looks like a really nice model. Tough crowd here too :sun: Everyone's an art critic;) L8r jaykit21 09-17-2002, 10:04 AM I think the headlights need a black surround. I'm all for that. I'm real nit-picky w/ headlights and all. Pman, very nice work as usual. I'm truly envious of your skill. So, what's next? :bandit: We need to have a contest sometime where we start building the same kit on X day and see who's gets the most done in the least amount of time!! Considering that you recently started a thread called 'Speed Building', I don't think I stand much of a chance. Speed building to me is 3-4 mos. :D primera man 09-17-2002, 05:17 PM Thanks for your replys so far....just to answer a few questions. Chris...The glass fits really well, must just be the angle the pic was taken. The quarters come with the kit but are not used for this model, but i thought it looked way better with them on. Moss...Its just some tubing brought from the model shop and cut to length. About $5 for a metre....very good for exhaust tips. Turbo86....the wing is the same colour as the rest of the car. I'm not a fan of the rear wing either, but i wanted the car to look just the same as a real 1:1.....thats also the reason way the rims were left on the car. IMO after looking at a few WRX's that are for sale in town here with those same rims....the size is very much the same. Jay....maybe for the next kit!! :D flyonthewall 09-17-2002, 06:14 PM Originally posted by primera man IMO after looking at a few WRX's that are for sale in town here with those same rims....the size is very much the same. I've measured these rims and a few others with a caliper and they are to scale. primera man 09-17-2002, 06:25 PM Originally posted by flyonthewall I've measured these rims and a few others with a caliper and they are to scale. Thanks Chris...i thought they would have to be close to the real size. Jay! 09-17-2002, 06:53 PM And, in scale, how big are those wheels, really? Midnight Racer 09-17-2002, 08:04 PM Once again you've amazed us.Great work.
