have a 93 sedan deville, remote opens trunk but latch won't pull down. Cad wants $125.00 for new motor. can i do anything for a temporary fix to close trunk?

Try hosing the guts of it down well with WD40.

Check the sensors on the latch and the motor.

Thanks for all your comments. Turned out to be the reversing switch on the lower trunk latch. $25.00 at Cad. Make sure the upper and lower metal latches line up and touch for switch to operate properly & close trunk lid.
