I have a 97 Grand Laredo and need to remove the headlight assembly.
I found the bolt on the top but cannot figure out what else I need to do to remove it.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

There are no bolts holding the headlights on, The headlights clip in, just pull them out, a quick pull and they will pop out.

I am talking about the entire headlight assembly, not just the light bulb.....
They dont' just pop out on mine

All you have to do is remove the grill (3 screws), Turn signal lamp (2 screws) then you will be able to grab the headlamp assembly and pull it off.

so you mean remove the plastic grill, then the turn signal and it comes right out? I had the turn signal out.....but I also removed a bolt, about 3/8" from the top that loosened the head light assembly. It seemed something was holding it from the bottom......

Thanks

The bolt you removed on the top was actually for the header panel.
Yes to remove the headlamp assembly just remove the turn signal and grill so you can get a grasp on the headlight assembly, then pull over and out from the grill side (this will remove the inner side of the headlight) then pull over and out toward the grill to pop the opposite side off. Don't just pull straight out.

I might not have to remove it after all. From what I have read the dullness is most likely on the outside and polishing it with a plastic polishing agent might cure it, but thanks for the advice.
