i just bought a 99 s10 4.3 vortec and i cant get any kind of air to blow out the vent can anyone tell me what i should check before i have to take it to a shop?

Is it that the fan will not run on any speed?

or

the fan is running but air is not making it out of the vent slots?

not sure i turn the fan on and there is no noise or anything, is there a way to see the fan?

You can reach your hand up behind the heater core and feel the fan. Un plug the fan and check for voltage. The fan motors aren't to expensive at the parts store.

I suggest getting a repair manual. It will show you how to reach the fan.

Will the fan run on maximum?

If you can't afford a repair manual go to the library and then copy the page.
Use a volt meter or 12volt test light. One is placed on a ground and the other end in the electrical conn.
Turn the fan on max. if you have voltage it should run. Their resisters for for various fan speeds.
