Serious brake issue?jcjc_b 11-23-2006, 08:47 PM Hi, quick question... Was heading into town for Thanksgiving dinner with the family... (oh yeah, happy Thanksgiving to all) and all of a sudden my brake and ABS warning lights lit up on my dash... at the same time my digital odometer flashed repeatedly as well as my stereo cut in and out for about for about 30 seconds and then returned to normal... However the brake and ABS warning indicators remained lit... Then about 15 minutes later the exact same thing happened with odometer and radio. (for about 30 seconds) After Thanksgiving dinner, nothing happened on the drive home. Gonna take the Jeep in tomorrow, just curious if any of you have heard of this before? thanks! John P.S. Almost forgot... 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. 2 wheel drive. jcjc_b 11-24-2006, 04:41 PM Update... 99% sure it was a bad battery issue... did a google search for my symtoms and there was a guy that had the exact same thing and the battery was his fix. and sure enough my battery was very low and would not hold a charge. Bought a new battery and I am good to go now... (hopefully) also, picked up a pair of front rotors cuz you know they go out more often than the batteries... What's the deal with the 2 different types of brake pads? (non-compatible) oh well... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
