SRT 4 Turbo package on 1st gen

rebuilding 2.0 the 97 dohc and want to know whether or not i can put the srt4 turbo package on it or whether i should go to a regular turbo upgrade. if i turbo charge it, what engine upgrades would be necessary???

new pistons rods lower the compression your going to need a piggy back system
id reccomend megasquirt bigger injectors. an adapter plate for the srt manifold
thats all i can think of at the moment some one else chime in please lol

.20 i believe it is the piston walls are really thin crysler designed them as "throwaway" blocks

my bottom end of the 2.0 seized up and im hoping that the damage aint too severe. i appriciate the advice so hopefully i can get-r-done.:smokin::smokin::smokin: I love this car and want to treat her right. peace bro.\

thats all i can think of at the moment some one else chime in please lolIf he has a DOHC, then he doesn't need an adapter plate for the SRT-4 turbo...it's bolt right to the head. I don't recommend MS for anyone just getting into turbo's and he doesn't need a piggyback system.

I wouldnt run very much boost unless you have something to tune it with

HOWELL engineering sells all you need to TURBO your car, it is a HAHN Race craft kit with or without and inter-cooler and sells for about $3900. I would also recommend a stronger clutch, perhaps the 2.4 liter modular clutch as it is a direct replacement for the stock modular clutch.

Cheaper from Modern performance ($3000 w/ intercooler) and you will actually get what you order.
