Question about the Quad Cab S10

Does anyone know much about the Quad Cab S10's? I know you don't see too many around, but it'd still be nice to have one. Would you ever own one? Is the gas mileage any worse, due to the fact that there's a bit more size? Do they come with the same engines, or do they also have V8's? Thanks. :)

The S-10 was replaced by the Colorado. It is available in a 4 door model.
The old S-10 4 doors came with the 4.3 and were the same size as a long bed S-10 (give or take an inch)

Thnx. But one more question.

Do the quadcabs get any worse gas mileage than the ext.cabs, are they geared differently, and do they ride a bit more smoothly? Thanks. :)

they will ride just like a regular 4x4 longbed s10 as the chassis and suspension are the same. they may get slightly (and i meen slightly) less gas mileage because of the added weight. most have 3.42 or 3.73 gears. ride will depend on what suspension package it has, either smooth ride or ZR5 (crew cab can not have ZR2 package).

I have a 2001 Crewcab 4X4. It has 3.42 gears and stock size tires. Around town it gets 14mpg. If I do a little highway driving I get 15.5 to 16. During the summer with temps of 105F I took a 260 mile road trip using cruise control and running 65 to 75 and I got 22mpg. The only mods I have made are a Fram Air Hog air filter and I opened up the air inlet into the stock air box. The transmission was rebuilt at 75,000 due to the weak factory sun shell(a GM known problem that was not corrected until 2004) that left me with only 1st and 3rd. The sending unit in the gas tank was also replaced at 70K
after my gauge started going from 1/4 tank directly to empty. Other than that its been a good truck.

Also, the S10 Crew Cab was only made in 4wd.
