I am getting heat out of passenger side & cold out of drivers side. I assume it is the blend door. do I need to take the whole dash apart? I do not need to fix it I just want heat for the winter. I have taken the glove box door off but I do not see any access ti the blend doors. other threads give a link but it does not have a figure 17 showing the blend door assembly, any other links would be helpful.

The dash has to come out. There's a TSB out on this. If you take it to the dealer and complain they may pay the labor.

See this thread: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=622717&highlight=blend+door

Here's the procedure for taking out the dash. It's for replacing the evaporator heater core but the same steps apply: http://home.sc.rr.com/janet/TSB/24-02-98R.htm
