ZL1power69 01-09-2007, 09:55 PM whats the difference in weight between the alluminum LS1 and the iron LQ9? Mr. Luos 01-09-2007, 10:13 PM 80 pounds poormillionaire2 01-10-2007, 12:09 AM That's naughty. ikeyballz 01-10-2007, 04:18 AM You probably don't want to know. Hell...I don't even like thinking about it. haha. i guess so. well i like the engine cuz its done right. i hate how people toss on a giant turbo and expect their 4banger to last 100K miles... or when (some of my friends) think they can boost their (stock internal 2.4L with 80K miles) 13+ lbs with no intercooler..stock injectors.pump.etc with no problem... your motors deff. built to perform..but it seems like its built to last too. no crazy boosting...not crazily high revving..etc. goldz28 01-10-2007, 06:45 AM 80 pounds Is that it? That is not that bad for all the added power. Mr. Luos 01-10-2007, 06:19 PM haha. i guess so. well i like the engine cuz its done right. i hate how people toss on a giant turbo and expect their 4banger to last 100K miles... or when (some of my friends) think they can boost their (stock internal 2.4L with 80K miles) 13+ lbs with no intercooler..stock injectors.pump.etc with no problem... your motors deff. built to perform..but it seems like its built to last too. no crazy boosting...not crazily high revving..etc. No boost. No bottle. Revs to 6700. Hell...compression is only 11:1. Want to know how much?? Take that mod list and have at it. I know total (wheels, motor, tires, rearend, etc) there is over $17K into it. poormillionaire2 01-10-2007, 07:09 PM Its kinda hard to believe that you built that thing in a 1 car garage too. Doesn't seem like a lot of work space. You even had lifters on the stove. I still love that one. ikeyballz 02-02-2007, 02:57 PM hell, 17K is totally worth it.. 4 seater car that can spank almost any exotics. hahahaha. crazy sleeper man. jr_rbbns 03-07-2007, 07:21 PM words can't explain how nice that car is, but its purdy. I am too cheap. It is a custom built 3" DS. Made for a heavy RWD car launching hard. ikeyballz 05-07-2007, 05:56 AM haha nicee. its so smooth that i thought it was maybe CF. shoulda looked @ the welds before i said anything so i wouldnt sound like such a noobie :( Mr. Luos 05-07-2007, 04:52 PM Not a problem. It is in. 2-3 pounds heavier than the stocker, but much more solid. Also a touch longer for better bite at the tranny. 1986Z28 05-09-2007, 02:57 PM and its on the kitchen table! poormillionaire2 05-09-2007, 03:34 PM and its on the kitchen table!
