Welcome. Aftermarket parts are few and far between for these cars so pretty much everything you do is custom or retrofitted.

Anyway, the easiest way to boost power in a hurry for fairly cheap is to open up the exhaust and the intake.

Intake: pull the stock air box, install a K&N cone filter on a tube, encase in a CAI box to keep out hot engine air.

Exhuast: Replace stock cat with a hi-flo cat converter (dont gut it tho...), and get a hi-flow muffler like a Flowmaster 42583 (single in, dual out):

Suspension: Replace all the factory rubber sway bar bushings with poly bushings. Get a strut tower brace from a later model H-body from a junkyard (this is a bolt-on part, stabilizes the front end on corners: http://www.lesabret.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=4251 <<what it looks like and where it goes).

Brakes: You can pull a 4 wheel disc setup for your rear drums... this is a do-able project but difficult to get everything to work properly: http://www.lesabret.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=2331 and http://www.lesabret.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1285

Anything else? ;)

How many miles does your engine have on it, and what kind of engine is it?

you might not want to do those burn outs anymore or you wont have a trans to ride with :(

yeah, 4t50e's were a weak trans. Such a shame that the motors will run forever though

autozone sells the haynes manual for $20-$30 give or take. not a bad manual, just not much on the trans. oh and depending on the year look for a supercharger, because the lss had one. maybe you could pull one out of a salvage yard and polish it up?

I thought the car had the 4t60e trans rather than the 4t50e... Im wondering about their interchangability... as far as I've heard the 4t60e is a pretty durable trans??

From everything i've heard the 4t60e has issues with the tcc shudder and sometime a somewhat weak sungear. I'd expect that gm's incredibly reliable 3800 v6 will outlast this tranny.

just what i've heard... i can understand the tcc shudder, but i don't know about the sungear thing.

i have the 4t60e in mine and it shudders going into overdrive and up hills in overdrive. but also sometimes slightly in other gears as well. then again i got in an accident off the end of a t-section and only had to replace the radiator so I guess i had it coming. otherwise they shift very smoothly. i suppose if you take care of them they are pretty reliable.
