anyone have n1 duals? happy with em? im wanting to get the cat back for my 92 240 coupe bc they look a lot better and will perform better but i hope they are as loud as the n1 single. any s13s with pics of duals on their ride hook me up...

i have duels and i am extremely happy with them. the thing is not loud. i've heard the singles and those are like the loudest exhuast taht i've ever heard. in fact the singles sounds extremely cheap. the duels got this beautiful deep idle note and it just purs up to 3K rpm. from then on, it silences out and the sound of the intakes switches over at 3.5 K rpm. and the engine is alot more rev happy at 3K rpm plus. if you want to see how much my cars improved. i took my friends 1.8t jetta and he use to beat me. i took him by 2 cars. i also beat my friends caddy and he can use to take me too. and i've caught up to my honda friends. and i've taken many other cars now with just a intake, exhaust and a high flow cat. check out my racing story at the streetracing forum.

thats cool, im like to have a loud exhast tho so if they arent as loud as i want, how can i make them louder? will the hotshot header help? injen intake? gut the cat. conv.?

yeah leave this for the Nissan enthusiasts who like the cars for what they are, not trying to make them something they aren't. Ricers burn in hell! I like a good exaust system and all but hey Im not for those loud raspy farty ricer ones with 3" exaust on a NA honda LMAO. Im Nissan for life, Im convinced that Nissan makes the best I4, I6, and V6 engines to date. Also their cars handle very nicely and I like their styling. If you want to be a ricer, and Im not putting anyone down... just using that as a classification of what people want from their cars.... get 90 CRX or so... you can rice those out better then a Nissan and a lot cheaper... Even more modern civics are cheaper then 240's lol.

Me, I like to race.. I can't wait to get a turbo motor, I have an extreme adrenaline rush for speed(cars, boats, rollercoasters, even fly planes every now in then) and a hardon when I hear a turbo... everyone tells me that is bad but we all have to get our kicks somewhere. When my sr20 is in and road reliable Im going on a trip maybe up to South Carolina/North Carolina area to do some cruising around the mountains... very nice scenery along I20(north of spartanburg) and I40(around Asheville) in those areas if you've ever been down em and maybe head over to the ATL and stop at a car show or nightly cruising and abusing. Eventually Im going to get abody kit(nothing extreme like the 'batmoblie' style LMAO) and the wing/taillights(180sx X stock) maybe even change the front end to a Silvia conversion, have a show quality Sil Eighty or a show stoppin Sil1580.
But thats far down the line... I plan on keeping my 240 for a long time and hopefully no one crashes into me..knock on wood.

ohh sheessh. you guys got to it before i did. i was goin to ask him. why do you want such a loud exhaust for? you car sounds fast but its totally pointless if your not goin anywhere. and the cops will just give you tickets all day long. my car when i cruise at 60 to 80 i can barely hear it. all my friends are sooo shocked at how low my exhuast is cusae its one of hte most silent exhuast they're ever heard, esp coming from one as big as mine. and i even didn't put the silencers on!!

does anyone know of a site that has a sound file of n1duals?...or could someone possibly record theirs? i've never heard the n1 duals...how loud is it compared to stock?

its definitly louder then stock. but its not the fart loud. its more like your standing next to a bass guitar kind of loud. lots of deep tone vibration. and the loudest that your ever goin to hear it is at 3K. adn fromt hen on it dies down. don't mistaken it for a single cuse hte singles sound soooo annoying.

I totally agree...I know how long some of you guys had to wait to find the ideal S13/S14...and this guy here is misusing one right now...it could have been in the hands of someone who knew what he had...this guy is just ignorant...he knows no better...

But for real...240SX's are now becoming harder and harder to come by...if you dont want it for what it is meant to be for...sell it...buy yourself a nice Honda hatchback...and get smoked by us Nissan's!

lolz. hahaahh i can finally say i can beat honda's!!! lolz yeah its weird that after these cars are becoming more in demand. i'm startin to see more and more riced out 240's and it hurts me sooo bad to see one riced out. i've seen a few riced out S13's. those don't bother me that much cause those are all over. but for me to see a riced out S14. good god. i want to get out of my car to strangle them!!! and on a few occasions i run into a nice car enthusiast who owns a nice S14 and we would alwyas like highbeam each other to say hi, or just scream across traffic "hey nice car!!" ........" yeah you too~!"

yes if u want it loud get a honda. the Vtec will make it loud as fuck. and if u do go wit 240sx i like the single N1, my friend has 1 on his 240 it sound very nice in deed.:devil: :devil:

i am not knocking anyone who has the n-1 single or dual. but they are too loud. yeah they make a tight sound when they are sitting there...its a crazy hummm that comes form them...but when you step on the gas the whole world knows you are coming...and driving around with something like that is too obnoxious. and i know what i am talking about my friends has a 89 240sx with n-1 duals. i personally just got my HKS and it is great. not loud when just regular driving but when you hit the gas...then damn thing growls...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....love that. go with what you like...

well i know for a fact that the duels sound different on the sohc S13. even the dohc S13's it sounds different. the whole way the exhusat is routed is different. thats why the S14's gains more from the exhaust. but my car was louder with a intake then with my exhuast. i dunno. i've heard of a few exhaust. they might sound smoother then my exhaust. but they're all about the same loudness. its the singles that pisses me off!! those things are like god damn~ somebody muffle that shit kinda loud. lolz

Reason why they gain so much is due to the fact that the S14 exhaust system was so restrictive...like a new pair of underwear (from Wayne's World)...lol

how much better would the dual be than the single for the s13 performance wise tho? is it worth the extra $$?
