1997 Ventured crapped out last night....

On the way home from work, my husband said the check engine light started flashing on our Venture and then it just shut down. It will now not start and he seems to think it is a fuel filter/pump problem. When I tried to start it, it does seem like it might not be getting any gas. But it seems like it might not be getting a spark.
Any insight or advice??

See if you can get a scan tool on it and see what code(s) come up. From that information, you can attempt to diagnose the problem(s).You can come back to this forum and post any code(s) that came up for additional help.
