Just bought an '03 with 21,000mi.
Cash price was $33,649.
Sales Tax was $2344.30
I put down $5719.30
So that makes the unpaid cash balance...$30,274.00
Now here comes the question...

The APR I got was 5.9% on the balloon payment finance.
The Amount Financed was $30,385.50 (balance + Lic, Tit, Reg $111.50)

I am making 48 payments of $500.($24,000)
There is a balloon at the end of $11,546.50
My Down Payment was $5719.30

I am coming out of my pocket $41,265.80 on an X5 that was $33,649.

My big question is............. there is a Finance Charge (The dollar amount the credit will cost me) for $5161.00. Is this normal practice?

Any ideas? I brought the contract home with me to sign. I have it now.

I think nobody replied because it probably belongs in Car buying forums. But why would you want to have a baloon payment on depreciating accet? they say even on the house that hopefully appreciates it a bad idea, not that I/my wife hasn't done it.

If you feel robbed you probably are :disappoin
