This could be caused by a number of things. First thing in process of elimination would be state of tune (plugs, wires, ign. timing) fordfan1000 11-15-2006, 11:44 AM Check your map sensor,PCM grounds, fuel regulator,O2 sensors, coolant temp sensor and mass airflow sensor, good luck! Morley 11-15-2006, 11:57 AM I'd agree with the above except for the the Mass Air Flow sensor...you don't have one. "No communication" indicates a possible bad ECM. crazy Jim 11-15-2006, 08:56 PM I'd agree with the above except for the the Mass Air Flow sensor...you don't have one. "No communication" indicates a possible bad ECM. what I was thinking. ] The engine sounds like it is in "limp home" mode thus not runing very well due to not being able to process info from the sensors... wrightz28 11-16-2006, 10:58 AM .TRYED SCANNING SAYS NO COMMUNICATION WITH COMPUTER:banghead: oops, missed that part, really suffering from sometimers disease these days :banghead: camfarmer65 11-16-2006, 10:34 PM thanks for replying guys .these cars are new to me my other camaros have all been carb.what is limp home mode.car has new plugs wires cap coolant temp sensor fuel filterand new ecm.in order to get car started i have to hold it to the floor.any other help would be appre:banghead: Morley 11-17-2006, 02:39 AM Limp home mode is a default mode the ECM goes into when there has been a major failure in the system. It will allow you to do just that...limp home. Is the check engine light on when you get it running? Try taking a paper clip and straightening it out, then bend it into a U. Next find the ALDL connector (either by the driver's right knee or up by the fuse box) it is a flat twin row connector with 12 pin positions. Put the paper clip in the upper right hand 2 pin holes. Next turn the key on but don't start the car. You'll hear the electric fans come on and some other clicking from under the hood, this is normal. Next the check engine light should begin to flash, starting with one flash a pause then 2 quick flashes, this is a code 12 (normal code). It will do this 3 times. Next it will flash out any other stored codes...for example 3 quick flashes, a pause and 2 quick flashes for a code 32. It will flash out each stored code 3 times. When all of the codes have cycled through it will start all over again with 12. At this time turn the key off and remove the paperclip. Post any and all codes you got here. If the check engine light doesn't flash, or if it never comes on when the key is turned on, suspect a bad ECM or wiring, or possibly a bad/wrong memcal. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
