Welcome to AF.
How many miles are on your Century?
If the misfire is consistent with #3 cylinder then another possibility is you may have a bad fuel injector. Do you recall what brand spark plugs and ignition wires were used? The 3100 engine works best with OEM AC Delco.

another vote for the fuel injector. I've had 2 go out on my 95 with only 102k miles...... they went out back when it had almost 70k miles on it. GM is notorious for failing injectors on these for some reason

Its not GM thats notorious, its the brand of injector they used... thats why GM used a different injector too

Yea, that must be why ls1's don't have problems with injectors... minus a lack of fuel haha
