Want to buy a classy car...aeroheli 11-12-2006, 03:52 PM I'm interested in buying a classy/sporty car for 50k. I want something that's exciting, I'm a very young guy, but also the kind of car an executive would drive. Any thoughts? I'm absolutely stuck... Was looking at the g35 but the front looks ugly. My goal is to get an Aston Martin Vanquish in 2 years, but this car will have to do for now. DinanM3_S2 11-16-2006, 03:05 PM You've got lots of options Porsche Boxster, BMW Z4 M-Roadster, BMW Z4 M-Coupe, or a Mercedes SLK350 for sports cars. BMW M3 or Audi S4 for sports sedans/coupes. BMW 530i, Audi A6, Mercedes E-Class, Infiniti M35/M45 for luxury cars. I was in a similar price range when I was last car shopping in 2001/2002. There wern't quite the same options back then, but I ended up with a BMW M3 because I thought it offered the best possible blend of luxury and performance. They look great, handle very well, and have ample power, but they are also fairly easy to live compared to a Boxster or a Z4. The only problem with the M3 is that it is starting to age and there is a new one coming out sometime in early to mid next year that promises to be much better. The Audi S4 makes a good alternative to the M3. Similar design concept of a powerful version of an entry level car, but the Audi has AWD and four doors. They arn't quite as much fun as the BMW, but they are still very good cars. lamehonda 11-19-2006, 07:32 PM New lexus GS w/V8 or an Audi RS4/S4 are really nice cars. bourgeoise 11-25-2006, 09:41 PM Buy a really cheap car because you will need the money in 2 years for your Aston Martin. ridehustle.com 12-14-2006, 11:58 PM check out an MG ZT, MG went bankrupt so you can pick up a $70k car for about $20k now.. I got mine at a repo auction for $17k, check it out in my sig. Im 20 btw, its my first car. BMW's are so common now they dont interest me at all, MG is relatively unique and gets lots of looks! TakaCar 12-28-2006, 06:09 PM Check out the Acura TL, its very popular among youngsters, there's a new Type S for the 07 model which has more HP. Also any one of the BMW 3 series and Lexus IS's are good choises for 50k or less. I'm assuming you want a new model? Audi's are good choises to if your more interested in German engineering than Japanese. KYcarguy 12-29-2006, 03:32 PM Well, if you want something unique (everyone pretty much has everything that's been listed)...I would check out the VW Eos. Hard-top convertible. With an available 3.6L engine (this puppy will move!), but it is a great looking car. And you'll have some money left over on your 50k budget. If you don't mind having something that everyone else already has...I'd go with the BMW...the Z4-M is my favorite (dunno if it's in a 50k range...but slightly used one may be). 98BlackTransAm 12-29-2006, 09:34 PM caddy deville :grinyes: PlayStation3 12-30-2006, 12:46 AM my vote goes towards lotus vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
