I'm scratchin my head on this one. I'll give you the history. replaced head gaskets due to #5 leaking a little bit. put everythign back together - and tried to start. darn thing backfires and tries to start but doesn't quite go. messed witht he valve adjustment some and pretty sure it is close enough to start. Checked the fire - this is where it starts to get weird - 2 4 6 have spark - 1 3 5 do not. try to download trouble codes using the jumper across a b just like the book says. The service engine light just comes on and stays on - and maybe something maybe not but the radiator fan comes on and stays on also. So give some ideas. Also checked the coils they were OK but went ahead and got and nedw to try - same thing. BTw this has 3 coils with and odd and even on each one.

93 MILs don't flash.

I have gotten the trouble codes from this vehicle before - when yyou jumper the AB you should get a code 12 from the ses light. When I jumper it now it only stays on solid. I am going to look and see if there is a wire smashed/severed that shouldn't be or something like that.

Is it an early 93 (pre-July?)
