no shit there i was......repacking my wheel bearings this evening. when i spin the rotors by hand without the brake thingy attached i get a good few turns off of it with one hand flipping the manual hub. when i put the brake thing on there, i can no longer do this and I hear the brakes rubbing on the rotors. is this normal. i wish i knew more about this stuff.

i really hope i do not have to take it to the dealer, as my confidence in them was recently shaken when i payed them to repack my wheel bearings and come to find out this past weekend all they did was pack my manual hubs full of cheap grease. they will get an earful about this when i stop in tomorrow morning!!!

A small amount of friction is normal.

yes without the rim and tire on they are a bit of a pain to turn by hand. They should turn fairly easy with everything back on.

Mine do that. I was a little worried at first, but then I decided they couldn't both be broken.
