I just bought this and have no idea about the four wheel drive on this thing! I've had other 4X4s but this one has 4low and 4high and N. So do I put it in N to drive on the highway? All other 4X4s I've owned have a 2wd?
The "Check Engine Light" is on and won't go off? Runs okay though?
I can't get the oil filler cap off, it just clicks and turns?
Hope someone can help!!!!

You have the QUADRA-TRAC 4WD system, it's an all-time 4WD system, just leave it in 4 HI.

extract the codes and post them here and we will let you know what they mean.
Turn the key ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON - the check engine light will begin to flash out the codes in double digit form with a short pause between digits and a long pause between each code.

example:
| pause || - 1 pause 2 = 12
Code 12 - battery was disconnected within the last 50 ignition cycles.
||||| pause ||||| - 5 pause 5 = 55
Code 55 - end of fault codes.

Your cap is stripped, pull up on one end of the cap (in a peeling motion) to remove the top of the cap, then you can use a pair of pliers to loosen the cap. This cap is 2 peices, with a spring on the inside, so just grab it and pull up on one side, it just just pop off the threaded part.

Thanks allot! I'll try getting this thing to "cough up" a code and post it as soon as I can. Since I have no owners' manual it comes in handy having folks who know this stuff! Thanks again!
