caobalt vs redlineRidleyj329 11-08-2006, 01:12 PM my buddy has a stock 06 cobalt LS 5sp. im looking at an early redline. maybe 03 or 04, seeing that i prolly couldnt afford anything any newer. i was just curious if anyone would have any idea how the two would stack up against each other. Ridleyj329 11-09-2006, 08:57 PM ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????? PlayStation3 11-09-2006, 10:09 PM redlines are able to go faster with less horsepower (GM has a 700 hp redline and they have a 1000 hp cobalt with the same engine) and the redline does win. so i say the redline but if you are going to modify it then go with a cobalt ss Ridleyj329 11-10-2006, 10:28 PM i prolly wont modify it at all. but a redline with 700hp?? wow! kielu84 12-25-2006, 07:17 AM STAY AWAY FROM THE REDLINE!! I owned a 2005 brand new with the comp package, which is fog lights, boost guage and painted alloy wheels. I had nothing but problems with it, cat was replaced 5 times, then they replaced the supercharger and countless other items on that peice of shit. I know other Redline owners and they have nothing but problems too. Saturn later bought the car back from me under Michigan Lemon Law after I had put 12,000 miles on it. I later bought a Grand Am SC/T, great car!! http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f307/kielu84/CarSide.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f307/kielu84/Ecotechpicture.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f307/kielu84/DSCF0170.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f307/kielu84/DSCF0171.jpg kielu84 12-25-2006, 07:20 AM By the way, you can get 300 hp out of the 2.0L Ecotec with out mods to the engine and with out building it up. You can get Stage 1 and 2 they are basically a smaller pully for the supercharger, higher flowing fuel injectors and a pcm flash. A good friend of mine had that done to his Red Line and it caused him even more head aches. I miss my car man but damn did I have a lot of problems with it, the check engine light was always on! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
