The ABS drops out and traction light come on when I am near the end of a stopping action then goes off when I ease up on the brake. No leaks, caliper seals dry, brake cylinder seals dry, ABS disconnected have normal stopping behavior and no peddle fade. Thoughts and ideas sure are needed and appreciated lots. Can you get ABS codes from this 2.2 liter Century. Thankyou grayelve

Welcome to AF, this should be scanned with an abs function scanner to look for codes and comparative wheel speed sensor inputs.

Appreciate the response I think a tool like this starts at about $700 and up. I bought equus 9110 for my obd2 cars and 3123 for the obd2 today which is an about time thing I guess. Most stuff I can track down with a meter. Oh well, the thing is info I have read say there should be and A and B pin in the DLC to short for codes. So I have a look, no B but instead there is A, G, and I or 1, 6, and 8. OH man. Any one have that piece of a 94 Buick Century 2.2 liter schematic so I can id pin outs or info to help trouble shoot. I think thats the right call maxwedge I may be loosing input from one of the sensors is what I am thinking too but trying to get to the one. R&Ring with my 95 Buick Century also is lots of labor to ferret out the bad one, looking to avoid that option. grinning grayelve

You could check the resistance at the sensor although that is not always the final answer. About 1000-1200 ohms.

Thanks again I was good on that thru the cables to the sensors but your right I could be dropping or loosing sync of a signal but why not when I am rolling , ABS is always monitoring itself I think, only during stopping. Waetek has a wheel sensor reader which dose it every which way for $200, handy for a shop with some volumn. This 94 Cenyury is a fluke, I have been looking at scanners upto the $300 to $400 range without luck and besides my buick, GM has alot of exceptions for ABS pre 96. BTW I got my dlc pins reversed on the bottom so the right pin out is A, K, and M. With the dlc part of a print, I could pole these codes probably. As always its very appreciated. grayelve
