89 Deville radio not working...

On my Deville the radio doesn't work, I checked the fuse, and still nothing. The clock shows up, though I can't figure out how to change the time. It also will not play any tapes. Just instantly ejects them.

I was wondering if the radio doesn't turn on untill the antenna is all the way up? Because the motor for my antenna is burnt out and it's stuck half way in and half way out.

Or is sthere another fuse that isn't part of the fuse block under the steering wheel.

Any advise would help.

Thanks
Adam

Nothing to do with the antenna there is a fuse for the clock display and one for the radio, more than likely this radio is bad.

The switch can be replaced. Find a good old fashioned car radio shop. It's not a microswitch, it is a small switch that is wired in. I've had one replaced a few years ago for about a hundred dollars.

The stereo on my 93 started to act up, popped off. A good slap under the dash got it working again.
