Fuel Fuse Issues, 1996 Dodge NeonBabyBoy06 10-30-2006, 12:25 PM Heye everybody, my mom owns a 1996 Dodge Neon and recently a small time back, the fuel pump went up on it. Well, my brother changed the fuel pump and got it installed on the car successfully... BUT NOW, everytime he tried to start the car, it blows a fuel fuse. Not sure what is going on, so kind of need some help from here at these forums on what the possibility could be? We could put it in the shop, but all shop's I checked required a $200 "evaluation" fee... which is kind of a terrible charge just to find out what's wrong with it, then a possibility of $1,000 to get it fixed. Something so simple to fix so I hear (some said it may be the wiring... figured I'd ask a expert auto forum first though.) Please let me know the possibility. das2123 10-31-2006, 11:46 AM Check your O2 sensor wiring and make sure it hasn't frayed or is grounding out. That will cause the fuel pump fuse to blow. Also, make sure your grounds are intact. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
