How do I know if my mirrors are heated?dwitczak 10-29-2006, 09:34 PM I need to order new rear view mirrors (outside) both are broken. Is there any problem ordering bendable ones? and How do I know if they are heated or not? Millermagic 10-29-2006, 09:45 PM They will say heated if they are heated. dwitczak 10-29-2006, 10:21 PM Mine do not say heated. But can I buy heated ones? Also, is there a problem ordering bendable mirrors? TaurusKing 10-29-2006, 11:10 PM Not without the factory wiring to hook them up,, unless the wiring is already there, that I don't know..... what is a bendable mirror??? Millermagic 10-30-2006, 07:50 AM Depends on the model. My 2001 SES doesn't have heated mirors, but I have the wiring harness for them. If you have the wiring harness, yes. Willyum 10-30-2006, 02:33 PM Look on the face of the mirror, heat mirrors will have a small image of wavy lines @ about 1:30. Also heated units have electrical connections on the back. Is fairly easy to snap the lens out of its housing, patience and a screwdriver. MyTaurus8AChevy 11-04-2006, 12:54 PM I think you're putting the cart before the horse. Check to see if you have the wiring first, and then decide if you want to buy them... Also you never said what year of car/model it was. Most newer (gen 4) higher end models (SES/SEL) should already have the wiring there. dwitczak 11-04-2006, 06:20 PM I have a 99. And I do see they are heated. Please excuse me I just bought this car. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
