I've been trying to diagnose my brothers car. Here is what happens.

There is obviuolsy a slow drain on the battery.
With a meter in line with the battery cable, the amp draw is 0.26A AFter about 3 days the battery is dead. So I started pulling fuses to try to locate the problem. When I pull the "courtesy" fuse, the amp draw goes to near 0. I've checked and all the lights are out in the car when the fuse is in (after the delay of course). I cannot figure out what else is on the "courtesy" fuse.

Does anyone have a schematic or know where I can find one? Or know what other loads are on that fuse besides the interior lights?

Thanks,
Jeff

I had the same thing happen to me twice in my '95. The first time was the glove box light, the assembly is a push in type and closing the door made it pop back out, which in turn does not allow the door to depress the off button, allowing the light to stay on 24/7. The second type was the exact same type of thing(but I can't remember if it was the console lid or the ashtray, both have the ability of having the same problem.

You might want to take a quick minute and make sure that the doors on all of these items are fully engaging the light off switch.

Well. That's exactly what it was. the console switch was broke (not sure how that happened). But I removed the bulb and sure enough it brought my amps to less than 0.005.

Thank you so much. I can't believe it was that simple! Just like me to over-diagnose a problem.

Thanks again.
Jeff
