Does anyone know of a complete list of options for this car? I can only find one option that I'm aware of the car my wife just bought not having, that would be the CD player.

What it does have are:

Automatic climate control
AM/FM cassette with EQ
rear vents
auto dimming rear view
rear defogger
digital dash
cruise control I've only looked at the car a couple times and drove it around 1 day to the dump and back. It has some steady hesitation while accelerating, plan on replacing the filters and plugs.

Some questions: What is the average live on the coil packs? What have been found to cause hesitation in you 3800 engine with the same induction/spark control system?

Welcome to AF, your problem can be caused by many different issues, start with the basic tune up stuff, scan it for sensor inputs, see if it is an actual miss, check the fuel pressure also. Coils are only to be considered if you have no or intermittent spark to one or more cylinders.

Don't worry about that, I plan on starting on the basics. I want to tune the car up and look over everything so that I know where it stands, if I still have a problem after that I'll look into it more, for all I know it has a loose spark plug cable right now.

Noone has a list or a link to a list of options for this year/model?

Find the sticker in the trunk with all the rpo codes, there are several sites you can find thru google for GM rpo code descriptions.

Well, the GM service manual came in the mail this week. Soon, I'll get more time to go over the entire car and make sure everything is in tip-top shape and to manufacturer's specs.

I have all of that, expect I have the LSS cluster (which is not digital, but does include a tachometer), dual power seats, passenger climate control, and leather seats. Also, I do not have rear vents because i have the LSS console (which includes a "sport shifter" [no column shift] and 2 extra power outlets)

I actually saw one with that LSS package in the Yuma, AZ junk yard last time I was there.

I found the hesitation problem. Turned out to be a combination of things. Looked like the original plugs when I removed them. Putting the new ones in helped but the car still felt blah and out of power. I started getting a check engine light and cruise control would disengage when the light lit. Check the code and it was the TPS. Installed the new TPS, fun to do without removing the TB or exhaust (had to make a new tool using a Phillips bit, 1/4 combo wrench and some HAVC tape), and now the car runs great. But, running right now causes the car to really show the age of the engine and tranny mounts so I'll be replacing them soon.

Please check the dates on the threads, this is way too old for an additional response.
