88 Cadillac Deville Coupe Spark Plugs Change?

Does anyone have any detailed instructions on how to change the spark plugs on an 88 Cadillac Deville Coupe? The 4 in the front look easy but the 4 in the back, I'm not sure how to get to them. Is it easier to get to them from the top or the bottom? (I have a hoist if it's easier.)

Thanks,

David

Some do it from the bottom, or just squeeze in behind from the top.

When I say I have a hoist, I mean I have access to a hoist. If it was convenient to get to, I'd already have just tried it from the bottom.... it just takes me a few weeks to reserve it. That's why I posted this.

I find it easiest to remove the rear plugs from the top. It's a pain to do, and you'll need to go slow and feel what you are doing, since you can't see the plugs. With the right combination of extensions and u-joints it's not too bad.
One tip, for the front passenger side plug, you'll need to remove the PS pump bracket that is around the plug. Once that is out of the way it's not hard. Just remember to put the plug wire back behind that bracket before you tighten it back up.
As for needing a hoist, it's probably easier without one. But it may be a bit easier on your back if the car is up in the air a couple of feet, like on jackstands.

well i have a 90 deville and i changed the rear 4 plugs by going from underneath. its a hard task obviously it will take some time and hand maneuvering but eventually you'll get it. either that or u can take it to a mechanic who will charge u like no tomorrow. i dont know if the 90 and 88 devilles engine compartment is the same though, but it shoudlnt be that much different.
