Malibu....more power captain?Rustyfriend 10-27-2006, 07:47 PM hey guys, i recently got a stock 2000 chevy malibu. pretty much the stereotypical chick car, but in the hands of a male. i want to get some more power under the hood.....but where to start? what's the best bang for the buck? cold air intake? chips? DeViL 10-27-2006, 08:22 PM I say leave it alone and save up for something better. Challenger is only around the corner and the Camaro will be coming out a couple years after that. chexmixa 10-27-2006, 09:56 PM agree with above poster. now if u have this car tell it runs into the ground get a cold air intake and mb a catback exhaust. honestly your not going to get very much power out of that engine without some major work, diff heads, cams, tuning, high comp pistons. The motor is not made for power, alot of things would need to be changed. Rustyfriend 10-27-2006, 10:09 PM i guess you could like at it like i am the typical ricer EDIT: can you link me to a catback for the malibu? TheStang00 10-27-2006, 10:40 PM dude just leave the malibu alone. i have a feeling that if you start modding a 3.1 its going to give you major problems. but thats just me. besides its not a good engine for that. chexmixa 10-27-2006, 11:27 PM jeffs_GTP_sleeper 10-28-2006, 02:01 AM Dont mod that engine. jeepgclwj 10-28-2006, 08:30 AM vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
