Engine runs, till key's 'start' position is releasedcris2004 10-25-2006, 11:58 AM 1998 S10 This is an intermittant problem, perhaps monthly on a daily driver. The engine sounds fine starting untill the 'start' position is released to 'run', when it will just quit. We can wait around five minutes, and all is well and running again. I imagine the run circuit wiring or within the switch itself is the problem, but why does it seem to remedy itself? This happens more often after sitting some time, but not always. Thanks for any suggestions! Chris DINO55 10-25-2006, 01:52 PM Because Electrical stuff usually has a mind of it's own. A Bad Ignition switch harness will cause a host of wierd problems......... muddog321 10-25-2006, 07:54 PM Dirty ign switch contacts or possible fuel pump relay - switch with same type in the fuse block and see if that helps. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
