Hello guys, I have been gone for a while. Working and this girl I just met so I havent been om lately. Blackcrow64 is a AF moderator I see :). I didnt come to write the whole thing out and I am also running late since my friend is dynoing his car in 10 minutes. But pretty much I ran from the cops :). The police interceptors were pretty much pointless and never had a chance. I got wawy till the chopper came and then it went all donwhill. Lots of tickets and luckily I will be keeping my GSX. And I was street racing that night whcih made the cops come after me. So I had a chance to get a new car or keep my GSX. I chose to keep it and since I got a new job its becoming a beast. I dont care how much it will coast. But one bad thing, during the whole thing its got a broken front bumper and rear scratches so I am talking to a shop of making it look like this. Hopefully :)

The price is insane for this car since it has almost no power mods. But I am making it my model to go with.

Wish me luck and I hope everything goes well.

I think it would look good to make your GSX look like that... I really like it.

BTW, didn't yo mama ever teach you to not run from cops? :grinno:

Then again I guess it happens to the best of us... I feel your pain on the helicopter...

thats some scary shit. my friend and i were streetracing. his STI and my 300zx. cops came out of nowhere in the middle of a race. so we floored it redlineing the shit out of the car. 2nd gear 70mph, 3rd 110, 4th 135 and we blew by all the cops. so we slowed down 5 min. of top speed on the freeway, we thought we where safe. we started to head home. then we see a cop car flying to catch up to us. where are doing about 60 mph on the street then we slow down to about 30 and we flip a bit in the middle of the road. the cop gave up. I thought I was about to pee in my pants. we both took off the plates before we race so cops cant get us at home. talk about a adrenaline rush.

He has to be running sizeable spacers to fill on those fenders so perfectly... it makes me wonder about strcutural integrity at speeds and corners

He speaks. I never though about that. Some deep dish rims would work too, but those are expensive as hell. I guess its a good thing 1gs dont have any widebody kits.

is that eclipse on autotrader.com worth $22k? it sounds like pretty much just a show car. the only performance things i could see were a intercooler and bov. what is a "Blitz technospeed Z7"? is that the body kit?

sorry to hear about the cops. a friend of mine back in michigan had an old gto that was pretty hooked up. he was racing, ran from the cops, but they eventually caught him. he instantly racked up like 8 or 9 points. he sold it and bought a buick lesabre. had to lay low for a while. i hope everything works out good for you though.

oh and btw... you could probably find a used 91 NSX for about $22k.

Ouch that hurts. I haven't had a problem like that yet but i don't street race but once in a great while and they have to be worth the time for me to even do it. My insurance just went down a great deal and I'm in no hurry to shoot it back up..

Actually, you can have a pretty deep dish without it ever filling any fenders at all. Kata made a rim called "Excel" with a huge 4" lip (among others) , but it was decieving nonetheless because the spokes still stuck out enough for the offset to be a FWD...they kinda "tucked" in the spokes as they approached the edge of the wheel and "cheated", thereby giving a "deep dish" appearence, but not to the effect we are thinking of.

The only true way to "fill" fenders efficiently and effectively that I can thin of (I'm talking about purely cosmetic purposes) is to either have a negative offset, unfortunately for some of us FWD folk, or go with spacers (extremely cost-effective if you get the hub-centric ones, but I always wonder about the integrity of the design under high stress, though not a lot of people have reported disasters with them...dunno). Rim width helps only marginally when compared to a negative offset (there is only so much width you can add, and the utility of doing that goes exponentially down) the rims on my 3000GT are 18x9s....compared to the 16x7s that came stock (both are almost same offset). And surprisingly, they don't fill the fenders that well at all.

Why did I write all of that nonsense? Must be getting old or something...
